Tony Kanal is officially a member of the 'No Doubt' parent club as he and longtime girlfriend actress Erin Lokitz welcomed daughter - Coco Reese Lakshmi Kanal on Jan. 24, the couple confirmed on the band's website. This is the couple's first child.
"Welcome to the world our gorgeous daughter," the 40-year-old bassist wrote. "Mom, Dad and baby are happy and in love."
While Kanal and Lokitz have been dating for a long time, Kanal also dated bandmate Gwen Stefani for seven years before the two ended the relationship during the recording of 1995's 'Tragic Kingdom.'
Kanal can rest assured that their little girl will not only have a bunch of new playmates but can be protected by the other No Doubt kids who just happened to all be boys – front-woman Stefani is mom to sons Zuma, 2, and Kingston, 4½, guitarist Tom Dumont has sons Rio, 2½, and Ace, 4½, with another baby on the way and drummer Adrian Young fathers son Mason, 8½.
No Doubt is currently working on a new album, which they hope to release at some point in 2011.
