2011 Super Bowl Picks By Every Animal Besides Paul The Octopus, God Rest His Soul

Super Bowl XLV is considered by Vegas one of the most evenly matched Super Bowls ever, with the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers both boasting great defenses, big-game quarterbacks, and rock-solid organizations. We could turn to an aggregated superpanel composed of various panels of football experts, or we could turn this one over to some animals.

The depth of human boredom: the Monday before the Super Bowl!

At a Dallas zoo, to the untrained eye Jenny the elephant appeared to have picked the Packers by squashing a Steelers-branded melon. But to the knowing sports fan, an elephant tromping its way to glory just means national championship No. 22 for the Alabama Crimson Tide; Roll Tide!

Across the tracks, the Forth Worth zoo's coati also picked Green Bay. This is a coati, so awwww go Packers.

A South Carolina zoo continued Green Bay's romp through the animal kingdom as an orangutan turned against its own species, picking Aaron Rodgers over Ben Roethlisberger, though at least a Fresno orangutan managed to show a little Steeler pride.
