Preview of 'The Lock Up':
t's a game of comic and tragic survival for the police custody teams and the prisoners of the Lock Up. For a year a BBC team had exclusive access to the custody suite of Humberside Police that specialises in hosting Hull's 2,000 young people who are arrested annually.
The Lock Up is the place to sober up. Whether you are smashed, steaming or sozzled, alcohol plays a part in a million violent assaults countrywide every year. In the second part of the series, Sgt Rich West, policeman and Football League linesman, calls time on the prisoners who kick off.
