The show returns for another season Feb. 3, and along with our favorite returning agents comes new star Josh Altman, more expensive and glamorous listings, and a dose of drama. Previous cast member Chad Rogers reportedly departed from the show voluntarily and has been replaced by Altman, who, according to Bravo, is one of the city's leading agents, focusing on luxury properties for high-end clientele in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills areas. Here, Altman and co-stars Josh Flagg and Madison Hildebrand talk season four.
The success of 'Million Dollar Listing' centers around its three stars, who are highly intelligent and articulate, and actually lead interesting, busy lives and careers. The conflicts stem from personality issues between the cast: In previous seasons, we watched as Rogers and Flagg either bickered or simply avoided one another, while the more peaceful Hildebrand attempted to discover the roots of the conflict.
But Rogers' departure doesn't seem to signal peace on earth in the world of 'Million Dollar Listing,' as Bravo previews show we can expect new spats between Hildebrand, Flagg and the new kid on the block, Altman, who explains he considers himself "in a class above those two." Altman -- an avowed PopEater fan -- notified us recently that he is dating, but we'll have to watch the show to find out how far exactly his connection with Hildebrand's assistant, Heather, progresses.
Flagg tells us by e-mail, "This is the best season yet. The new dynamic is excellent, and all three personalities play off each other's personalities wonderfully."
The show has also catapulted its three stars to celebrity status and accelerated their careers. As Flagg explains, "'Million Dollar Listing' has affected my life because I never thought that when I walk down the street, I would be stopped and asked, 'Are you that real-estate guy?' It has also given me many opportunities such as public speaking and two books." (Flagg's second book will be available soon.)
