Jennifer Aniston Turned Down 'Saturday Night Live' for 'Friends'

Say what you will about Jennifer Aniston, but the girl's got great comedic timing. So great, in fact, that the 41-year-old actress was once offered a role on 'Saturday Night Live.'

Wednesday on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' Aniston and Adam Sandler joined the queen of daytime talk shows to promote their upcoming film 'Just Go With It.' It was there that Aniston revealed she and Sandler almost shared the screen many years ago.

"We wanted Aniston to be on the show with us," Sandler told Winfrey. "I remember being on the ninth floor where [SNL creator] Lorne Michaels' office was, and seeing Jen come in. I was like, 'Oh my God, there's Aniston. Is she about to be on our show?'"

But much to Sandler's disappointment, Aniston turned down the chance to shine in Studio 8H to take on another project.

"She said no? She's gonna do that 'Friends'? What the hell is 'Friends?'" Sandler laughed. "That was the truth."

Aniston said she passed on the show because it seemed like "a boys' club" and said "everyone "thought I was making a huge mistake."

"Worked out for ya," Oprah said, referring to Aniston's ten-year run on 'Friends.'

"Did alright," Aniston laughed.
