Following the news that actress Kate Hudson and Muse frontman Matt Bellamy expecting a child, there has now been fresh speculation that the pair have also recently become engaged.
Hudson, 14 weeks pregnant, and her rock star beau Bellamy are believed to have held a secret engagement party at an exclusive London hotel on Jan. 24. Guests rumoured to have been there include Hudson's mother and Hollywood mainstay Goldie Hawn, the star having been in the country to present an accolade at the British Comedy Awards two days previously.
Hawn recently admitted her excitement at the pregnancy to Us Weekly, enthusing that "we're just all very happy ... happy for them both." Bellamy met his future mother-in-law and Hawn's partner, actor Kurt Russell over the Christmas period.
Of the engagement event itself, Contactmusic reports an insider telling The Sun newspaper "it was an intimate party. They kept their engagement secret as they wanted to celebrate with their nearest and dearest before it became public knowledge."
The pair, who've been dating for nine months, could in fact be set to make London a permanent home though. Bellamy recently told the Daily Star that he and the rest of Muse were planning to all move there in order to make rehearsing for the band's sixth album easier.
The singer commented to the paper "it'll be the first time we're all going to be in the same place since we were much younger... maybe in summer we'll start getting into rehearsing and writing."

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton Engaged!
Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton got an extra special birthday present from her longtime boyfriend Jade Jones over the weekend – an engagement ring!
Emma – aka Baby Spice – is engaged, she announced on her Twitter page on Sunday.
“Yahooooo I’m Engaged!” the singer/TV personality, who turned 35 on Friday, wrote. “Love you Jade! I’m a very happy lady!”
She also posted a TwitPic of her new fancy bling –- CLICK HERE to see it!
“I had the best birthday!!!” she Tweeted on Saturday.
Emma and Jade – a British singer, as well – have been together for 10 years.
In November, Emma announced she was pregnant with the couple’s second child. They also have a 3-year-old son, Beau Lee Jones, who was born in August 2007.
Emma isn’t the only former Spice Girl who is currently expecting.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Victoria Beckham is also pregnant – she and husband David Beckham are expecting their fourth child this summer.

Jesse James and Kat Von D Engaged
Jesse James is apparently well over his ex Sandra Bullock: he's asked tattoo artist Kat Von D to marry him (and she said yes).
"You know sometimes the public and press gets it wrong. This is one of those times," James told People magazine. "2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.
"I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said 'yes.' Growing old with her is going to be a f----n' blast!"
The couple started dating last summer; Bullock and James' divorce was finalized last June. In January, James began to display some public displays of Twitter affection, writing on Jan. 9, "I have never felt so loved! I'm the luckiest MoFo in the world!"
And three days later, James told the tattoo artist that "48 hours away from you feels like a year ... you will never be anything but beautiful to me."

Former 'Full House' Star Jodie Sweetin Is Engaged
Actress Jodie Sweetin, best known for her portrayal of middle sister Stephanie Tanner on 'Full House,' is engaged to boyfriend Morty Coyle.
Coyle, who fathered Sweetin's 5-month-old daughter Beatrix, popped the question in front of family and friends at Sweetin's 29th birthday celebration at Los Angeles' Kibitz Room.
PEOPLE reports that despite the diamond decorations Sweetin's friends had set up around the event space to hint at what was to come, Coyle's proposal with a two-and-a-half-carat oval sapphire and diamond ring came as a shock to the actress.
"It was a complete surprise," says Sweetin. "We are just thrilled and I am in shock still!"
Despite her happiness, Sweetin says that the couple's bond was cemented long before Coyle presented the ring. "We were absolutely committed before this, anyway. We're just so excited."
Although the couple are in no rush to the altar, Sweetin and Coyle are excited to spend their lives together raising Beatrix and Sweetin's 2-year-old daughter, Zoie, from a previous marriage.
The couple, both of whom are vocal gay rights advocates, say that they will plan the timing of their nuptials around the legalization of gay marriage across America.
"We want to wait until there's equality for everybody to get married," says Coyle, adding that he's happy with their choice to become engaged. "Just because we weren't married doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a ring."
