Ted Williams just pulled off a HUGE surprise for the homeless man he shared a tent with on the streets of Ohio -- when he drove up to his friend's corner and dropped off a MAJOR wad of cash.
Sources connected to "Golden Voice" tell us ... shortly after Ted ditched rehab, he reappeared at his old stomping grounds Monday ... but this time he was being driven around in a black SUV.
We're told Ted located a man named Victor (pictured right) -- his best friend and tent-mate on the streets --and immediately pulled over the car.
The reunion was emotional -- and after the men exchanged a hug and some kind words, Ted gave Victor a wad of cash and promised to help him out once he gets his own life back in order.

Steve Harvey's Ex-Wife Claims He Cheated and Left Her Homeless
Steve Harvey's ex-wife, Mary Harvey, blasted the comedian in a series of YouTube videos this weekend and alleged that he cheated on her, took their son and left her homeless. In the videos, totaling almost 30 minutes, Mary discusses their entire relationship, adding that his infidelity ultimately led to their divorce.
Recalling how their marriage unraveled, she claims that on their second anniversary she accidentally received a "confidential" envelope from his mistress. Although she knew he was cheating on her, Mary stayed with Steve for the sake of their son, Wynton. But she knew the marriage was over when she intercepted a phone call from Marjorie Bridges, whom Steve went on to marry after he and Mary divorced.
"I had committed to growing old with him. The first time I was aware of Marjorie [Bridges], I had nothing else to say ... I had given it all for the sake of my marriage and my family," she says.
After she confronted Steve, he abruptly left and dragged her through grueling divorce proceedings. "He turned my son against me and had me evicted from our house," she claims. "I woke up, and everything was gone."
The couple divorced in 2005. Steve Harvey married Bridges two years later. "When I think about how quickly he moved from me to Marjorie, that was disturbing," she said in the video.
Mary Harvey says she's only speaking now because her ex-husband is suing her. "In Steve's opinion, I was responsible when Oprah did not give him a TV show," she says. "I'm being sued for that. That is why I'm saying what I have to say ... So as much as I'm trying to move forward, I keep getting pulled back into a situation that I don't want to be a part of."
Mary went on to allege that in exchange for dropping the suit, Steve's lawyers prepared a letter for her to sign taking responsibility for the demise of their marriage.
In response, Steve Harvey's attorney released a statement (via PEOPLE) stating, "We are appalled and aware of the videos and other fabricated documents ... which contained false, misleading, derogatory, disparaging, malicious, explicit and slanderous information about Mr. Harvey, his current wife and others ... We are saddened that the ex-wife has resorted to such devious and selfish behavior, with a reckless disregard for their minor son, her adult son and Mr. Harvey's other children."

Onetime "Idol" Contestant Now Homeless

He showed off his talents on "American Idol," but now Alex Lambert is sleeping on the street.
Lambert, 20, made the show's top 16 during season nine. When he was finally ousted, it was widely seen as a surprise, given the Texan's impressive performances of "Wonderful World" and Ray LaMontagne's "Trouble." More than 19,000 people, including actress Demi Moore, signed a petition demanding his reinstatement..
Lambert, who went on to star in "If I Can Dream," an Internet reality series about struggling actors, models and musicians, recently tweeted that he is on the streets and at wit's end.
"Ever since "IICD" ended I've been kinda homeless!" Lambert tweeted. "Sleepin on the street and behind buildings. I have a choice to stay and pursue my career or go back to Texas and not do music! I'm usually a strong person but I can't take it anymore."
Still, Lambert, who is not related to past Idol winner Adam Lambert, he hasn't given up on a music career.
"I'm a poor boy yall! Never had nothin in my life," Lambert blogged. "Please be grateful for everything you have. Because there's people out there with nothing! There's no way I'll ever stop making music as long as I live."
