Even Nicki Minaj would be a protective mother.
The animated hip-hop artist told British tabloid The Sun that she wouldn't want her own kid to listen to her tracks if she or he wasn't old enough.
"Being honest, if I had a daughter I wouldn't want her listening to a Nicki Minaj CD until she was a certain age," the "Your Love" singer told The Sun.
"Even when I meet my fans and they tell me they are 12, I cringe a little," Minaj said. "I always say, 'Listen. I don't want you saying the bad words, put school first.'"
Many of Minaj's tracks are sexually charged and filled with curses. Her Billboard hit, "Your Love" is one of her more tame numbers; "Massive Attack," however, has both a clean version and a dirty version.
But the crazy-haired rapper wants to make it clear she loves all her fans, and the advice comes from the goodness of her heart.
"At the same time, I am like their bigger sister," she told the paper. "I'm not like their mom."
As dirty as her lyrics can be, Nicki Minaj added she is deeper than a profanity-laced line.
"When they really connect with me they know how big I am on school and how I always promote independence for women," she said.

On 'SNL,' Nicki Minaj Is Crazy About 'The Creep'
What are the odds that three awkward dweebs with nerdy suits, greasy hygiene, and perverse social skills could get you out on the dance floor? With the right featured guest rapping on their hot new track, those odds actually go way up.
As the musical artist dropping by 'Saturday Night Live' this week, Nicki Minaj worked overtime on the episode, joining the creeps of 'The Creep' -- a.k.a. The Lonely Island (Andy Samberg with longtime comedy partners Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer) -- to launch the new club craze.
In a cameo, John Waters oozed sleaze while introducing the hapless hip-hoppers, as if to confirm: Only the uncoolest of the uncool invited.
"Get your knees flexin' and your arms T-Rexin'" was a fine rhyme on Minaj's part, but it was the Grammy nominee's adorable blond bookworm look, not to mention her skill at balancing nerdy sweetness and total ickiness (even dabbling in necrophiliac PDA for one crazy moment) that put the latest 'SNL' digital short over the top. Minaj told fans later she had a great time working with "incredible" people on set, and even tweeted the name of her 'Creep' character.
If you missed the broadcast and are taking in all the weirdness for the first time, don't worry if you don't get it at first. Let it grow on you...like a fungus.

Nicki Minaj Opens Up About Parental Abuse and Drug Use
It's been quiet a week for Nicki Minaj who caused big waves on her first trip overseas, she inciting a near-riot outside of her London hotel and got thrown out of the establishment. But, in an interview with U.K. newspaper The Sun, the singer got deep, discussing her troubled past and revealing that her father's abuse and mother's subsequent addictions caused her to "act out."
"All of my young and teenage early years we lived in fear that my mother would be killed by my father," Nicki explained. "It was ridiculous. It made me act out to guys and be evil to them when I was growing up."
While her father's abuse may have damaged her early relationships, Nicki also said that her difficult childhood made her stronger. "It made me tough. Of course it did," Nicki continued. "I am an emotional person, but I am a tough person. It was very tough emotionally for me to have a parent who was an alcoholic and a drug addict. I had a mum with no money."
Ultimately, the lesson Minaj said she learned from her mother was to "keep it moving" and be prepared to walk away from any situation when things aren't working out.
"I will cry about something but I never let anything stop me. I can't be like my mum. I know I can cut ties and still make it," Nicki said. "She didn't cut ties when I felt like she should have done. That's been my whole thing. I've been able to say, 'This isn't working anymore. You need to get out of my life.' I keep it moving and it has worked."
Recently, Minaj was asked about her rumored relationship with rapper Drake and whether they indeed were a couple. She toyed with the idea jokingly, "I think (our children will) definitely have my personality," she said. "My mother-in-law will be super beautiful, so that's good 'cause Drake's mom is freaking amazing. I love her. (Our kids will) have Drake's intelligence. They'll have his sarcastic wittiness that I love about him, and they'll have his songwriting skills."

Nicki Minaj Fans Storm London Hotel
London loves Nicki Minaj. In fact, they love Ms. Minaj a little too much!
The 26-year-old rapper was forced to leave a London hotel on Friday after massive crowds of Nicki's fans (AKA "Barbz") and paparazzi posed a security threat and disturbed the hotel patrons.
"Long day of press only to find out we've officially been kicked out the hotel!" Nicki Tweeted on Friday. "Lmaoooooooo. Rescue me barbz!!!! Pleeeeeeeasse.
"And they said yesterday while I was out doing press, a fight broke out and an ambulance was called for 1 of my barbz," she later added.
After relocating to a different hotel, the First Lady of Hip-Hop emerged — in another fabulous outfit, of course — for a night on the town.
"We're off to (new undisclosed hotel). Lol," she wrote. "I feel like I'm writing in sum [sic] sort of weird and obscured diary. Its 9:22pm over here. :/"
But the swarms of fans didn't stop there – the creatively-coiffed star was bombarded by admirers and photographers yet again as she attempted to exit a nightclub later that evening.
"OMFG. Trying to Get out of that club felt like world war f**king 3. Lol. London is crrraaazzzzyyyyyy," she Tweeted. "Thx 4 cmn out u guys!!! Xoxoxoxooxox!"
The rapper was so overwhelmed by the attention from her UK fans – she said she is considering moving across the pond.
"The barbz met me @ another secret location (not the new hotel) they were singing RightThruMe in the cold," Nicki, who was moved when a crowd braved the frigid weather to serenade the artist with her hit single, Tweeted. "I'm thinking about staying. Lol."
