She may not be a royal yet, but Kate Middleton just made her latest step toward officially becoming a member of the royal family – she quit her day job.
According to Britain’s Hello magazine, Kate quit her job as a project manager for her parents’ mail-order party supply company, Party Pieces.
Kate reportedly left her gig at the company in order to continue planning her wedding to Britain’s Prince William, which will happen in just 93 days at London’s Westminster Abbey.
“She is really throwing herself into it with gusto and energy and is an absolute pleasure to work with,” a friend of Kate’s told the mag.
“It is a steep learning curve and at the same time she is learning a lot about the royal family and what the future holds,” the friend added.
While no invites have officially gone out yet for the couple’s big day, according to Britain’s Daily Express, the Queen’s private secretary has contacted private secretaries for other royals in recent days, asking them to “Save the Date” of April 29 – the big date William and Kate have chosen for their nuptials.
“It’s a sort of pre-invitation, asking them to keep the date free. It’s been done because of their diary commitments but they haven’t received a gold embossed invitation yet,” a senior Buckingham Palace official said on Tuesday evening, according to the newspaper.
Among those who have already announced they will attend include several deposed royals including, Crown Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia and his wife, Crown Princess Catherine, the Romanian royal family and the Greek royal family, the paper reported.
A rep for the Greek royal family said they received a “Save the Date” notice via fax.
“They received a fax in the last few days,” the spokeswoman said.

‘True Blood’s’ Joe Manganiello Dishes On His Wedding Plans
Awwww… this super-stacked werewolf has heart!
“True Blood’s” resident werewolf hunk Joe Manganiello is opening up about planning his wedding to fiancee Audra Marie – and the star is ready to mix business with pleasure on the big day.
“The [‘True Blood’] cast will be invited to the wedding,” Joe told People at the Producer’s Guild Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. “I love them. They’re like my family.
“We’re close to settling on a date and a location,” he continued. “Once we get that locked in, the rest will kind of snowball.”
Joe, who was recently made a series regular on the hit HBO show, credits the vampire series with making his romantic dreams a reality.
“The first thing I did with my first check as a season regular is get together with my friend who is a jewelry designer and we co-designed an engagement ring,” he told the mag. “And then my now-fiancée and I went on our trip to Italy and got engaged.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the 6’5” actor was added to the People’s 2010 Sexiest Man Alive club in November and was thrilled to share the news with the two leading ladies in his life.
“I told Audra and the first thing she said was, ‘Don’t forget, I wash your underwear,’” Joe laughed while recounting to AccessHollywood.com how he broke the news to his lady love in November. “Then she gave me a big hug and told me how proud of me she was.”
Also pleased with the honor? Joe’s mother!
“I said, ‘Go get People magazine this week.’” Joe said of how he broke the news to Mama Manganiello, back in his hometown of Pittsburgh. “She said ‘What for?’ And I said, ‘Well, you know, it’s the Sexiest Man Alive issue.’ And she screamed ‘Oh my God! You’re the Sexiest Man Alive?!’ And I went ‘No, no… I’m one of the guys.’”

Kate Middleton Chooses Her Wedding Dress Designer
Most women want to feel like a princess on their wedding day. So it's no surprise that Kate Middleton, the girl gearing up for a real-life royal wedding this April, wants to wear her absolutely perfect gown when she says 'I Do' to Prince WIlliam.
Since the couple's engagement became public in November, there has been great speculation over who would design the future princess's dress. But according to People.com, Kate's made an official decision on just what lucky designer will make her wedding dress.
Kate's remaining mum on the topic, wanting the dress to be a surprise for her bridegroom on their special day. Still, pictures published in the U.K.'s 'News of the World' of the future princess's mother and sister, Pippa, perusing designer Bruce Oldfield's store in London are leading many to believe that Oldfield might be the couturier with the gig of the decade.
Oldfield was a favorite of Princess Diana, and while he hasn't commented on whether he's making Kate's gown, he said in a statement this December that, "Kate has such a gorgeous figure that she would look stunning in anything."
The leggy, 5'10" brunette beauty will undoubtedly look elegant and poised in any dress she wears. A fashion source told PopEater, "Kate always looks well put together. She is a beautiful woman with a good body and perfect sense of style."
