'My Name is Earl' star Jaime Pressly, who was recently arrested on suspicion of DUI and is facing close to $600,000 in tax liens from the IRS, has come up against another load of legal issues, RadarOnline.com reports.
The actress reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of 16 months, entertainment lawyer Simran Singh, just last week. Now she's facing further heartbreak at the hands of a former flame.
Pressly's former fiance, DJ Eric Cubiche, may seek custody of his 3-year-old son Dezi, who was born to Pressly while the couple were engaged.
Cubiche's mother, Nairis Calvo, says that the family's concern over Pressly's erratic behavior may force them to take legal action.
"Jaime and Eric have always had a nice relationship when it comes to my grandson Dezi, but that could change," says Calvo. "My son remains focused on Dezi ... We're very protective of Dezi and want nothing but the best for that precious boy."
Pressly, who calls Cubiche "a great father," told Redbook of their parenting style, "We make sure that no matter what happens, Dezi is OK and protected and knows that Mom and Daddy love him. We've never argued in front of him. We don't raise our voices around him."
Despite the amicable nature of their split, Cubiche's mother says of the potential custody battle, "Little Dezi is the most important thing in my son's life, and we will do anything to protect him."

Jaime Pressly Files for Divorce
It's been reported that Jaime Pressly has filed for divorce from her husband of 16 months, Simran Singh.
Earlier this week there were reports that the couple had split. Now RadarOnline.com says the 33-year-old actress cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the collapse of her marriage which she claims ended on December 27.
On Jan. 5, Pressly was arrested on the suspicion of drunk driving. She was driving in Santa Monica when police pulled her over at around 11 PM for an alleged traffic violation. Following a field sobriety test, she was arrested and booked.
Pressly is asking that the court not award Singh spousal support. Tax records show the IRS has filed for over $500,000 in tax liens against her in the last year, and the state of California is looking to collect $95,080.

Report: Jaime Pressly Splits From Husband Simran Singh
It has been reported from various sources that 'My Name is Earl' actress Jaime Pressly has split from her husband of 16 months, Simran Singh.
Radar Online is reporting an insider saying that Pressly, 33, and entertainment lawyer, Singh, have called it quits. The person is quoted saying, "They are done."
Another insider is saying, "It's over. I don't think they have officially filed anything yet though," quoted by Us Weekly.
The insider goes on, "I think it comes down to she married this guy too fast. He seemed like a good guy but he is super full of himself and puts her down for everything. He picks fights with her for any little thing."
The person adds that Pressly is worried over how the separation will affect her three-year-old son, Dezi, who she had from a previous relationship.
The insider continues, "She doesn't want to confuse him. Her baby is her top priority. She is a strong girl though and she will come out of this fine."
It has certainly not been an easy month for Pressly; she was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of driving under the influence.
