Super Bowl Sunday is a momentous occasion not only for football enthusiasts, but for 'Glee' fans as well, as the day marks the show's welcomed return since its Christmas episode last year.
While loyal viewers of the musical comedy series are waiting in anticipation for which hit songs actors like Cory Monteith and Lea Michele will sing, fans can expect a monstrous mashup: Cast members are set to perform a mix of Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' 'Heads Will Roll.'
The Sunday, Feb. 6, episode, which will air at 10:30PM EST following the big game, will mark the first time one of the King of Pop's tracks has been covered on 'Glee.' No doubt the famed 'Thriller' dance will saturate TV screens as the 'Glee' cast sing MJ's classic chorus, all while adding, "Dance, dance, dance 'til you're dead" from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs club smash.

"Win Win" Premiere's at Sundance, Finds Giamatti on New Ground
In deference to the light dusting of snow on the ground, Saturday starts with a short bus ride back to Eccles, where yet another packed house awaits the premiere of Paul Giamatti’s upcoming film, “Win Win.”
“Win Win” stars Giamatti as a down on his luck lawyer who moonlights as a high school wrestling coach. In a moment of desperation, he takes advantage of an elderly client, a move than comes back to bite him in the ass when the man’s grandson, a talented wrestler, appears out of the blue.
The character is a departure for Giamatti, as this time he plays a happy, well-adjusted suburban family man. It was almost a deal breaker, according to the actor’s old friend, and “Win Win” writer director Tom McCarthy, who addressed the crowd after its world premiere.
“I've known Paul for almost 20 years now. We go way back, we met at the Yale drama school together and we've been trying to find something for yeast and this just felt like it… I called Paul, he was finishing a movie in London or something and he was flying back. I said, ‘I think I have something,’ and I sent it too him and he read it on the plane, and I went over to house for thanksgiving. And I said, ‘So, what do you think?’ And he said, ‘Wow, I really like the script, it's great.’
“Then I said, ‘I think there's one major obstacle/challenge for you…’ And he goes, ‘Yeah, the dude's happy.’ I said, ‘I know, but you can do it. You can do it - you can show the world.’ And he really did, he found a guy who was content in his life, and not condescend to these suburban characters.”
The film is a rare beast, a feel-good movie that doesn’t insult your intelligence. In Amy Ryan plays his wife, Bobby Cannavale is hilarious as his unhinged best friend, and newcomer Alex Shaffer, who gives a fantastic acting debut as wresting prodigy Kyle Timmons.
McCarthy, a character actor with three dozen films on his resume, who is quietly putting together an impressive body of work on the other side of the camera. He first came to Sundance in 2003 with “The Station Agent,” winning the Audience Award, Special Jury Prize and the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award for his story about a dwarf struggling with a break-up who retreats to an abandoned train depot to lick his wounds, only to develop friendships with two unlikely locals. He returned in 2007 with “The Visitor,” a film about a college professor who finds a couple of strangers in his apartment, which earned Richard Jenkins an Oscar nomination and his career a serious shot in the arm. Now he’s back with a film he co-wrote with his childhood friend, Joe Bitoni.
“Joe and I used to be championship wrestlers ourselves. For real--no. we were actually on the same team in high school and this is Joe’s first screenplay by the way. I just had this idea one day, I hadn't really seen anything about high school wrestling, a much-undervalued sport in this country. So I called Joe, and I said, since we've known each other since we were about 10, I sad, "Hey, you wanna develop this idea with me?" And he said, "Totally! I'm in. What do we do?"
“We just start talking a lot and see if there's a story that comes out of it. And that's really where it started, laughing about our old wrestling stories. And Joe is an elder law attorney who lives in the town where we grew up together as kids… so we were just draw on those experiences. I guess a very personal story in that way and a lot of fun to develop.”
And then it’s back outside to go back inside the huge tent where they pen the ticket holder in a line with at least 10 switchbacks, to watch still another movie.

'Kim and Kourtney Take New York' Premiere: Crazy Scott, Poor Baby Mason, and No Krazy Khloe
NetworksSorry, K&K. Turns out you really do need the third K to really round out the krazy. Without Khloe Kardashian (location: “Heaven”) around to say inappropriate things and act like a real human being, E!’s Kim and Kourtney Take New York feels boring and desperate, much like Kim herself. In last night’s premiere, Kim was single, horror show Scott was a maniacal horn dog looking to unleash his all of his pent-up sobriety energy on Kourtney, and Kourtney was instructed to order breakfast for Kim every morning or risk constant pillow thwacks to the head. Who would take care of Baby Mason if Kourtney had to go to the doll hospital? The responsible child care staff provided by E!? Shudder!
The producers helpfully arranged for Michael Copon, “an actor, like a singer” with whom Kim “worked” 5 or 6 years ago on The N’s Beyond the Break, to run into Kim at a club. The two later went on a date, but she wouldn’t even let him kiss her. What??? Perhaps Kim was holding out for Kanye West, who “randomly” stopped by the new SoHo location of Dash. (Oh, right, the whole point of this series is seemingly that K&K are going to run this NYC branch of their boutique, but so far they’ve just stood in the empty space.) It was weird that Kanye was able to take a break from tweeting so easily. All of a sudden, Kim had invited Kanye to her 30th birthday party in Vegas. “You wanna come,” she murmured, more telling than asking. “I do,” strobed Kanye. “I know you do,” gargled Kim. It was intense.
And then Scott ruined the moment, as he did in every other scene, and that was that. Kanye basically called him out on his toolishness, and to retaliate, Scott misguidedly got all revved up. “Look at me! I’m a calm, easy going guy!” said the complete whack job. It’s never true if you have to say it out loud. God, Scott. You can’t just wear half-summer-half-winter outfits. Even if there is a “half-soft half-hard” waiting in your pants.
Did anyone else shamelessly tune in to ‘Kim and Kourtney’? Bet you didn’t talk to your sister about the Kardashians and their lore for 35 minutes before the show! That would be so sad.

The Beaver' to Premiere at South by Southwest; Will Mel Gibson Show?
Mel Gibson and his beaver are headed to Texas.
No, that's not slang for something dirty. Academy Award winner Gibson and his feature film 'The Beaver' will be premiering at the Austin, Texas international film festival 'South by Southwest.' AP reports that 'The Beaver' will one of five films premiering there this March.
Jodie Foster directed and co-stars in the quirky movie, which features Gibson's character developing an unusual relationship with a beaver puppet he created to help separate the whirlwind stresses of his life.
This July, Gibson was dropped by his talent agency in light of domestic violence allegations. The actor has maintained a low profile since the incident, which was one of many since 1991 that have all but mauled his public image. An appearance at 'The Beaver's' premiere would be a big step for Gibson, although his current publicist is unsure whether the actor will be in attendance.
