Troy Polamalu Named AP's Top Defender

Now that the voters have chosen Troy Polamalu over Clay Matthews for The Associated Press 2010 NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, the two stars can prove their worth against each other on the field.

In the Super Bowl.

Despite missing two games with an Achilles injury in his right ankle, in which Pittsburgh went 1-1, Polamalu became the sixth Steeler to win the award. He had seven interceptions this season along with 63 tackles, but made his mark with big plays. In a late-season victory at Baltimore, his leaping tackle forced a fumble that set up the winning touchdown.

That victory catapulted the Steelers to the AFC North title. Now, they are in the Super Bowl for the third time in six seasons, where they face Matthews and the Packers.

"I don't imagine their game plan changing over one player," Polamalu said. "We don't single out anybody. Anything we achieve here is done as a team, as a whole."

Added Steelers linebacker James Harrison, who finished third in the balloting with eight votes and won the award two years ago: "Troy brings this defense from a 'C' defense to an 'A' defense. He's someone that you have to account for in the secondary."

So much so that one opponent called the eighth-year pro the NFL's top player, regardless of position.

"With all due respect, I honestly think Troy Polamalu is probably the greatest player I've ever played with or even seen play in person," gushed Jets receiver Santonio Holmes, who was the MVP of Pittsburgh's 2009 Super Bowl win over Arizona. "Everybody has their one person they think is the greatest player. In my eyes, I think he's the greatest player I've ever played with."

Polamalu has had better statistical years than 2010, including the 2008 championship season and in 2005, when he had a career-high 91 tackles and three sacks as the Steelers won the title. He hasn't had any season where he made more big plays than in 2010.

That fit perfectly with defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau's claim that Polamalu is the most versatile defensive back he's ever worked with. And LeBeau has been involved with the NFL for about a half-century and is in the Hall of Fame.

"I know Troy is going to do the right things," LeBeau said.

Matthews did plenty of things correctly in only his second pro season, enough to make the All-Pro team thanks to 60 tackles, 13½ sacks (fourth in league), an interception return for a touchdown and, like Polamalu, a penchant for delivering game-turning plays.

"Game-changing plays," Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley said with emphasis. "I mean, you look at all the plays Troy's made -- game-changing plays. ... So many game-changing plays to go out there and help win football games. Things that he [does], not only in the secondary -- coming up, tackling backs in the backfield. Troy does it all."

Matthews said it would have been a "unique honor" to win in his second year. His goal, he said, is to become "world champions."

Added Matthews: "Despite defensive player of the year, I get the chance to play Sunday for the world championship."

Considered the lesser of three linebackers drafted in the first round in 2009 from Southern California, Matthews has had the biggest impact of that trio. Yes, Brian Cushing was the league's top defensive rookie in '09, but he tailed off in 2010 while Matthews was surging.

Matthews' sensational season came while facing consistent double-teaming.

"You really just attack it," said Matthews, whose father and grandfather played in the league and whose uncle, Bruce, is a Hall of Fame offensive lineman. "I think last year, obviously, was about winning the one-on-one battles. Towards the playoffs, that's when I saw the increase and it's kind of continued. ... So you deal with it, you try and beat one, then another, and get to the quarterback."

Polamalu and Matthews take their competition to Dallas Cowboys Stadium on Sunday. They already are considered marketing adversaries, with Polamalu's jersey the top seller in the league, and both vying for hirsute superiority.

"Well, I can guarantee you my hair's more expensive," Polamalu said.

Also receiving votes for AP Defensive Player of the Year were Chicago end Julius Peppers with six and linebacker Brian Urlacher with two; and Baltimore safety Ed Reed and nose tackle Haloti Ngata, one each.

Mitch Kupchak Open to Trade?

Los Angeles Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said he would consider making a trade amidst the team's recent struggles, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday night.

The Lakers have dropped two straight -- a loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday followed by a home loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday -- four of their last seven games.

"Yes ... I may have to look into a trade, but I'm not saying we have" talked to other teams yet, Kupchak said, according to the newspaper. "We have not been playing up to our level and I don't know why. Maybe it's complacency. I'm not sure."

The Lakers picked up the pieces at practice Monday after the loss to the Celtics left the basketball world wondering if the two-time defending champions have lost a step.

Head coach Phil Jackson was asked what changes his team would make.

"Suicide," Jackson deadpanned. "We'll commit suicide ... mass suicide."

Lakers forward Lamar Odom assured reporters that nobody was jumping off a ledge.

"No, no, no," Odom said. "There's no coming back from that, that's it. I'm not committing suicide."

Jackson said he did not go over the game tape from the Lakers' 109-96 loss to the Celtics on Sunday with his players, opting to focus his team's energy on its upcoming game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

"It's Houston right now that we're worried about," Jackson said. "Our practice [Monday] was about Houston. The last time we played Houston, we lost to them so we have something to do about the team coming up."

Still, most of the questions coming at the 11-time championship winning coach were about what happened against Boston when the Celtics outscored the Lakers 59-42 in the second half.

The hot topic of the day was Kobe Bryant taking 10 straight shots in the fourth quarter and not getting his teammates involved as Boston built its lead from nine to 12.

"Kobe ended up taking it on his shoulders to beat the team," Jackson said about Bryant who scored 41 points on 16-of-29 shooting but saw his team fall to 0-2 when he topped the 40-point plateau this year. "There are times it works, there are times it doesn't. [Against Boston] it didn't work out. Our big guys didn't step in and demand the ball and they weren't aggressive about it."

One of those big guys, Pau Gasol, scored 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting but only had five shot attempts in the second half. On the day Gasol was presented with a plaque to recognize him being named the European Player of 2010 by La Gazzeta dello Sport for the third consecutive year, he said he did not confront his two-time NBA Finals MVP teammate about Sunday's fourth quarter.

"I'm just trying to do the right thing," Gasol said. "It's not the last part of the fourth quarter [that's the problem]. I think that's when [Bryant is] at his best and that's when he can take over, really. But I think earlier during the game, we don't have to rely on that as much and that's something that will help us. We have to figure it out as a coaching staff, as a team and not as individuals. It's definitely something that we need to talk about."

When asked what Jackson expected of Bryant in the fourth quarter, he said simply, "Make the plays."

"You got to make the plays at that time," Jackson said. "That's the credibility you have. You have to make the plays if you're taking that kind of situation on."

The 65-year-old coach said he hasn't talked to Bryant about finding a balance between commandeering the game and relying on the collective efforts of his teammates, but planned to.

"We work on it," Jackson said. "He'll work on it. We'll talk about it together about this thing and we'll work on it."

Not much was working for Ron Artest on Sunday. He went 1-of-10 for the game and did not play in the fourth quarter as his primary defensive assignment, Paul Pierce, went off for 32 points.

"There were a couple shots that were out of the sequence with what we do, but for the most part I can't really get into Ron and his offense right now," Jackson said. "I thought that was a bad day for him offensively, no doubt about it."

Artest did not speak to the media Monday but Jackson conceded that the mercurial forward's play could have been hampered from taking an unintentional Shaquille O'Neal knee to his right thigh in the first quarter.

"[He] just wasn't an active defender like he usually is and so I replaced him and got Luke [Walton] out there and playing a bit," Jackson said. "But we have to have him. He's an important cog to our defensive game."

Andrew Bynum, the anchor of the Lakers' defense in the middle, did not practice because of a sore left knee but expects to play against Houston.

Jackson said he doesn't lean on his experiences from any of his three previous three-peat seasons for direction but agreed with an out of town reporter who theorized that the Lakers taking their lumps in January could help them out in June.

"I think there's a certain amount of tension that goes with winning and losing and I think that helps a team be active or more active or play a little bit harder," Jackson said.

Jackson seemed bemused by the extra press attention at practice to find a crack in the defending champs' armor, holding court for more than 12 minutes, twice as long as his media sessions following practice usually last.

"I don't like it, but I don't run away from it," Jackson said. "I kind of embrace it."

Jackson was asked how he maintained his confidence despite his team falling 7½ games behind San Antonio for the top seed in the West and to the fifth overall in the league behind the Spurs, Celtics, Heat and Bulls.

"Well, we have two years of pretty good records in the playoffs, don't we?" Jackson said. "So that's what keeps me optimistic. We have guys that are experienced and know what to do."

Last week, Laker legend Jerry West degraded the team as being too old to play effective defense but Jackson said the aspect of the game in disrepair is L.A.'s offense.

"Our inconsistency offensively I think is the thing that bothers me the most," Jackson said. "We have defensive mistakes, we plotted them out, we talked to them about it [at practice] and what we made mistakes doing. But really, our inconsistency playing offense is really something we have to work on."

Asked when the Lakers would need to show improvements by, Jackson replied, "I would say April 15 or 17, somewhere around there," pointing to the start of the playoffs.

Sal Alosi Resigns From Jets Job

Seven weeks after the trip, Sal Alosi finally took the fall.

The New York Jets' embattled strength and conditioning coach, suspended indefinitely after tripping a Miami Dolphins player in a Dec. 12 game, resigned from his position, the Jets announced Monday night.

The parting came as no surprise. At the time of the incident, which embarrassed the organization and ultimately resulted in a $100,000 fine from the NFL, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum indicated that Alosi could be fired.

Alosi released a statement through the team, saying in part, "After the events that have transpired, I feel it's best for my family and me to look for a fresh start."

He didn't return a call seeking comment.

Tannenbaum, in a statement, said it was Alosi's decision. A team spokesman declined to say whether Alosi received a financial settlement or whether the two sides have a confidentiality agreement.

"After speaking with Sal, he decided that it is best for him to tender his resignation at this time," Tannenbaum said. "We appreciate all of Sal's contributions during his tenure with the team. He played an invaluable role in our success and established what we feel is one of the better strength and conditioning programs in the NFL."

Alosi tripped Nolan Carroll, a gunner on the Dolphins' punt-coverage team. The following day, Alosi offered a public apology and was suspended for the remainder of the season without pay and fined $25,000. It was going to cost him a total of about $50,000.

But the controversy didn't die, as replays showed that Alosi was part of a human wall on the Jets' sideline -- a blatant attempt by him and five inactive players to deter the gunner from running near the sideline.

Amid mounting speculation that the Jets had orchestrated the wall, the team re-opened its internal investigation and suspended Alosi indefinitely after learning "new information," as Tannenbaum called it.

The Jets said Alosi finally admitted to them that he organized the wall, but they insisted he acted unilaterally. One of the inactive players, tight end Jeff Cumberland, told reporters he was ordered by Alosi to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with others. At the time, league sources told ESPNNewYork.com that the Jets had been doing it for several weeks.

Both coach Rex Ryan and special teams coordinator Mike Westhoff have maintained they had no previous knowledge of Alosi's wall.

Amid the controversy, Westhoff told a Chicago radio station that the New England Patriots employed the same practice, putting the Jets in more hot water. After a league investigation, the team was slapped with a $100,000 fine, but they let Alosi hang in limbo. The Jets are appealing the fine.

Team officials had said they wanted to wait until after the season ended to resolve the matter, but they also took their time to study all the possible legal options and ramifications, according to a person familiar with Tannenbaum's thinking.

Alosi was named the head strength and conditioning coach in 2007, earning about $200,000 a year. He played college football at Hofstra from 1996 to 2000.

LeBron James Not Enjoying Cavs' Pain

LeBron James sees no reason to enjoy Cleveland Cavaliers epic struggles this season.

And it doesn't give him a sense of vindication, either.

Speaking before the Miami Heat faced the Cavaliers on Monday night, James says Cleveland's descent from a championship contender to the NBA's worst team does nothing to prove that he made the right choice in joining up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in South Florida.

Cleveland entered Monday on a 20-game losing streak and brought an 8-39 record into the contest, the worst mark in the league. With James, the Cavaliers were among the NBA's elite, but not even seven months after he made "The Decision," Cleveland is approaching the league losing-streak record.

"It didn't matter for me if the Cavs were going to have a successful season or not," James said. "I felt like I was making the right choice for me as an individual and for my career. Like I said, I have nothing bad to say about the players that I left and the team. I wish the organization the best. And I wish the fans, more than anything, the best because we had a lot of great years together."

James was with the Cavaliers for seven seasons, vowing to bring a championship to the title-starved city. Cleveland reached the NBA finals once with James, but never hoisted the trophy, and the Akron native decided last summer to accept significantly less money than the Cavaliers were willing to pay in order to sign a six-year deal with Miami.

Monday's game was the third time Miami and Cleveland have met since James switched uniforms. Unlike the first two, it almost seemed like a regular game instead of having a circus atmosphere.

"The first two were kind of crazy, but now both teams went their separate ways," Cleveland coach Byron Scott said. "Obviously they're doing extremely well and we have been hit with the unbelievable injury bug and all kind of other stuff that has happened. I think it is just a game right now and I think that's how both teams look at it."

James agreed, noting that Cleveland has been hit with more injuries than even Miami -- which has been without him, Wade and Bosh at times of late, plus have a number of other hobbled players.

Cleveland entered Monday three losses shy of tying the single-season NBA futility record shared by the 1995-96 Vancouver Grizzlies and 1997-98 Denver Nuggets. Overall, the Cavaliers came into the Miami game having lost 30 of their last 31 games, along with 23 straight on the road.

Cleveland's franchise already owns the all-time NBA losing-streak record, a 24-game slide that spanned from March to November 1982.

"We just keep fighting. That's all you can do," Scott said. "You've got two choices, either you're going to fight or you're going to lay down. I don't think we have any guys that will just lay down. We don't on the coaching staff. So we're just going to keep fighting and keep working every day."

The Cavaliers' injury woes are so pronounced, James doesn't even have a sense of familiarity with most of the roster anymore. Most of the key teammates he had in Cleveland a year ago -- Mo Williams, Anderson Varejao, Shaquille O'Neal -- are either hurt, playing for another team, or in the case of Zydrunas Ilgauskas, running alongside him in Miami.

"It's strange. ... They're going through a lot of struggles right now," James said.

Like Scott, he said he appreciated that Monday wasn't the sort of spectacle that his return to Cleveland was in early December.

"After the first one, it couldn't get any worse," James said. "Or better, depending on the situation. I'm happy that at this point in the season, we're playing some good ball, whether it's against the Cavs or whatever."

Maurkice Pouncey not Ruled out Yet

Maurkice Pouncey still has a shot at playing in the Super Bowl.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin would not rule out his Pro Bowl rookie center Monday, despite Pouncey having a high left ankle sprain. Pouncey needed crutches to walk down the steps from the team's charter flight in Dallas, and wore a bulky walking boot on his left foot.

"We've been very aggressive in terms of treating it," Tomlin said. "We've even been putting it in hard casts and so forth. Just trying to do everything in our power to give him the best opportunity to participate. I don't know what his chances are at this point."

A league source has told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that Pouncey will not play against the Green Bay Packers.

Pouncey injured his ankle in Pittsburgh's 24-19 victory over the New York Jets in the AFC championship last Sunday. He did not practice at all last week, and Tomlin said Pouncey is "not on a running clock" until Wednesday -- the team's first practice before the Super Bowl.

"We will remain hopeful," Tomlin said.

According to media reports, Pouncey also has a broken bone in the ankle -- a report Tomlin would neither confirm nor deny.

"I'm sure it could be characterized as that," Tomlin said vaguely. "I'm sure I've got something floating around in my ankle. The issue that's keeping him from participating is the high ankle sprain."

Backup Doug Legursky, who lost out to Pouncey for the job in training camp, would fill in if necessary. Legursky is a former undrafted free agent from Marshall who was on the Steelers' practice squad during their last Super Bowl win two years ago.

"I don't think it's going to affect us at all personally because we have a lot of guys on this team, let alone the offensive line, that can come up and step up if one of the starters come down," offensive tackle Flozell Adams said. "So I have no shadow of a doubt that Doug will do just as good a job -- if not better than Pouncey -- being in there for this Super Bowl. And I mean that."

Legursky came in for Pouncey after the first-round pick out of Florida went down early in the game against the Jets, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger fumbled an exchange that resulted in a safety. Still, Tomlin echoed Adams' confidence in Legursky, who started four games at right guard earlier this season when starter Trai Essex went down with an injury.

"We're comfortable if we have to go in that direction," Tomlin said.

Ricky Martin On New Album & Touring With His Twins

Ricky Martin couldn’t be happier – in fact, the singer says everything in his life is just about ideal right now.

“Everything is perfect. Life has guided me through a very organic logical path about life, about love, acceptance and has allowed to accept that fear doesn’t take you anywhere,” the singer recently told Access Hollywood, referring to announcement that he was gay in March 2010.

“It does change the way you see life, the way you… the way you sit in front a computer and start writing, everything comes from another place,” he explained.

Another new change for the 38-year-old international Latin singing sensation is his 2-year-old twin sons, Mateo and Valentino, who will be accompanying their dad on the upcoming tour for his new album, “Musica + Alma + Sexo.”

“I am their stability. If I’m not around, they will feel abandoned. They will feel horrible, because I’ve been there every day of their lives and they’re coming with me. They are going everywhere. They are ready. This is their reality and they love the buses already,” he said.

Ricky’s new tour, which will traverse the globe starting in his native Puerto Rico, while making stops in America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia, will be the first time Mateo and Valentino see their dad shake his “bon bon” in front of an audience.

“They’ve never seen me on stage.” Ricky told Access. “They’ve seen me on TV, but never on stage… they don’t care, I’m just daddy, which is beautiful.”

As for the tour, Ricky promises to bring trademark heat to the stage!

“Bring it on! I’m not nervous, I’m just hungry… I can’t wait anymore,” he said. “I’m going to provoke. It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be liberating. I can’t wait.”

“Musica + Alma + Sexo” drops today and the singer’s tour kicks off on March 25.

Are Sheen’s Woes Costing CBS Big Bucks?

CBS is scrambling to replace a “Two and a Half Men”-sized hole in its current schedule, a problem that is eclipsed by the threat of losing the lucrative sitcom forever because of troubled star Charlie Sheen.

The network and series producer Warner Bros. Television have potentially hundreds of millions of dollars at stake in the return of TV’s top-rated comedy.

With Sheen in rehab after a 911 call and brief hospitalization last week, filming for this season was halted with 16 of the season’s planned 24 episodes completed. CBS, Warner and Sheen’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, wouldn’t comment on if or when Sheen might return to work.

Only two of the Monday night show’s finished episodes are unaired, and they’re scheduled to be broadcast Feb. 7 and 14. To cover after that, CBS has ordered two extra episodes of “Rules of Engagement” and may increase its order for another sitcom as well as rely on “Two and a Half Men” repeats.

No other comedy has the drawing power of “Men,” which even in reruns averages bigger audiences (10.6 million, according to the Nielsen Co.) than first-run episodes of other network comedies, except for ABC’s “Modern Family” (14.6 million).

Original episodes of “Two and a Half Men” top 15 million viewers and the show has increased its audience by 2 percent over last season, according to Nielsen. Sheen signed a new two-year contract at the end of last season that makes him one of the highest-paid actors on prime-time TV.

But the 45-year-old has been living on the edge, with a wild night in October that left a New York hotel room in shambles and sent him to a hospital, and a guilty plea last summer to assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colo. Sheen filled gossip pages again in January by spending a weekend partying hard in Las Vegas.

At risk are both his health and the wealth he generates for himself, CBS and Warner.

CBS’ advertising revenue for “Two and a Half Men” far exceeds the $4 million licensing fee the network pays the studio for each episode. According to the latest data from analysts at Kantar Media, “Men” brought in $161.6 million in ad revenue in 2009 and $113.8 million in revenue for the first nine months of 2010.

The sitcom also serves as anchor for the network’s Monday comedy lineup.

For Warner, the sitcom is a true windfall: It’s the studio’s most successful show in syndication because it was also sold to the FX cable channel, said syndication expert Bill Carroll of Katz Media.

Based on a combination of the FX deal and syndication agreements, the sitcom’s value to Warner could reach $600 million over the next several years, Carroll estimated. The current syndication contracts run thorough 2014 and deals are in place that will keep the show on in major markets through 2021.

With more than 150 episodes completed, “in terms of the durability of the show, it’s probably in reasonably good shape” even if production ends now, Carroll said.

In Hollywood, however, where more is more, there’s scant reason to think CBS and Warner would want to stop wringing laughs and cash out of “Two and a Half Men.”

Both are careful in addressing the issue. After an initial joint statement with CBS in which the companies and series executive producer Chuck Lorre expressed concern for Sheen and supported his decision to seek treatment, Warner declined comment.

CBS issued a statement Monday when asked about the financial impact of Sheen’s crisis, saying, “Any immediate programming or financial implications pale in comparison to his long term health, safety and well being.”

Looking ahead, the network said, any ratings declines will be “more than offset” by reduced programming costs for the season. The shutdown’s financial impact is “not material” to the network, CBS said.

“Two and a Half Men,” which debuted in 2003, stars Sheen as womanizing bachelor Charlie Harper, who lives with his neurotic brother, the divorced Alan (Jon Cryer) and Alan’s son, Jake (Angus T. Jones).

Warner and CBS would not address whether they would try to keep the show going if Sheen didn’t return. But there is historical precedent for trying — and even succeeding.

“Cheers” star Shelley Long exited in 1987 after five years; the comedy went out in 1993 as a hit. At NBC, “The Office” is preparing for life next season without Steve Carell.

“Recasting principals in a show can help, actually, taking a show that’s getting a little tired around the edges and renewing it,” said Tim Brooks, a former network executive and co-author of “The Complete Directory to Prime Time Network and Cable TV Shows.”

If Sheen leaves CBS and “Two and a Half Men,” said Brooks, “it’s almost a certainty they’d give it a try” without him.

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Having A Boy & A Girl

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are having a boy and a girl, a source close to the couple confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The couple first revealed their pregnancy to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in October 2010 and Nick came by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday where he shared news about how Mariah is doing in the run up to the birth of the couple’s twins.

“She’s been cooking up a storm,” Nick said when Billy and Kit Hoover asked about whether Mariah was “nesting.”

“I didn’t know what it was,” Nick continued. “I thought this was the way she dealt with her cravings. She doesn’t eat. She cooks all this food and her cravings go away and she makes me eat it, so I’m gaining all the weight.”

Nick also confirmed to Billy and Kit that the rumors are correct — President Obama was the first to learn that the couple was having twins, and he explained to Billy and Kit how that happened.

“That was my wife. She was like, ‘Wouldn’t that be a great story to be able to share with our children — that the first people to know that they were gonna be people was the President and First Lady?’” Nick recounted. “So she told them at the same time.”

In fact, President Obama seemed to know about the twins before Mariah even uttered the words.

“He’s the President, he knows these things,” Nick said.

In the run up to the birth of his first children, Nick is hitting the road, having lined up two comedy gigs at The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on March 5, back to back.

“Everyone’s heard all the tabloid news and stuff, now you get to hear it from the horse’s mouth,” Nick said of what he plans to address in his comedy outing.

“This is so therapeutic to me,” he added. “This is Nick Cannon like you’ve never heard him before. I’m talking about being married, becoming a father, [and] all of the drama between.”

Gabriel Aubry Issues Statement Over Custody Battle For Daughter With Halle Berry

Gabriel Aubry has released an exclusive statement, via his rep at Wilhelmina Models, to Access Hollywood about his custody fight with ex, Halle Berry, over their nearly 3-year-old daughter, Nahla.

“While Gabriel is disappointed in Halle’s decision to falsely malign him publicly and for her own purposes, he refuses to be pulled into her dispute over a canceled film production. Gabriel also refuses to air their issues in the press as he believes this may ultimately harm their daughter. The fact is that Gabriel is a caring father who shares custody of Nahla,” the statement read.

“Gabriel fully believes that a consistent and balanced living situation and two loving parents are crucial for their child even if Ms. Berry feels otherwise. He will always defend his rights as a father and will always consider Nahla’s best interest. Halle’s continuing allegations in the press are untrue and irresponsible.”

On Monday, Berry’s rep issued a statement revealing that the Oscar winner had dropped out of a movie (“New Year’s Eve”) to focus on “custody issues” related to Nahla. People first reported the news, adding that Berry would be replaced by Katherine Heigl on the production, for which filming begins this week.

“Halle Berry was forced to pull out of a film production in New York this week due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter. She has attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter’s father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention,” the actress’ rep said in a statement also issued to Access Hollywood.

“Halle has serious concerns for her daughter’s well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her,” the statement from Berry’s rep to Access continued. “Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter’s best interest.”

It was back in May 2010, that news first surfaced that a custody battle between the former couple was brewing. Radar Online reported then that Aubry was looking into his legal options regarding his daughter as Berry was preparing to head to South Africa to shoot a film.

Back in December, Aubry filed paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court, asking the court to formally recognize him as the father of Nahla. People reported the filing in mid-January.

The model also reportedly asked the court to legally establish joint custody of the toddler between the former couple.

Berry and Aubry’s split was first revealed in May 2010. At the time, her rep told the press, the couple had “split some time ago.”

A few months later, Berry told Vogue that the two were “still friends” and remained a family of sorts.

“We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever,” she said at the time. “We are a family until we are not here anymore.”

The couple met and began dating following a Versace photo shoot in 2005.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Is Ready For Her Close Up With ‘Twilight’s’ Robert Pattinson

Jennifer Love Hewitt is ready for her close up with “Twilight Saga” star Robert Pattinson.

“I love him,” the proud Twi-hard told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Tuesday’s Access Hollywood Live.

“I love Edward,” Jennifer continued. “I actually waited in line to take a picture with him after the very first premiere for like an hour and 15 minutes and as I got up to take my picture, they were like, ‘Rob are you tired?’ and he’s like, ‘Yes,’ and he left. And I was standing there like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ Forty women from Milwaukee got their photo, but not me.”

Jennifer though, might still get her chance. When Billy suggested Jennifer could moonlight for Access Hollywood and cover the “Breaking Dawn, Part I” premiere as Access’ correspondent, the former “Ghost Whisperer” star screamed with delight.

“Are you kidding? Are you kidding? Really? Shut up! Are you kidding?” a joyous Jennifer exclaimed. “Oh my God! It’s like getting a rose on ‘The Bachelor’ right now, this is amazing.”

“Do we have a deal?” Billy asked.

“Yes! Oh my gosh, I’m gonna get teeth,” Jennifer laughed. “I’m gonna wear teeth, I’m gonna be like ‘Bite me!’”

Jennifer quickly thought of a few ways to finally get that encounter with fellow actor Robert on the Access platform at the “Breaking Dawn, Part I” premiere, which will be in November.

“I’m gonna get him to sit on my lap,” she laughed. “That’s what I’m gonna do. I’m gonna be like, ‘Tell me everything, please sit.’ I am so excited!”

Beyond her obsession for all things “Twilight,” Jennifer is riding high on the acclaim for her Golden Globe nomination performance in Lifetime’s “The Client List,” which was released on DVD on Tuesday.

“It was really fun. We had a good time,” Jennifer said of donning negligee for the drama, for which she played a housewife who turns to prostitution to help out her financially strapped family.

“It’s a very powerful story and right now, more than ever, women – housewives — are finding themselves in sex worker positions to help take care of their families,” she said.

In related J. Love news, the actress just celebrated a ratings milestone. Her Hallmark Hall of Fame TV movie with Betty White, “The Lost Valentine,” was the week’s No. 1 scripted program in the ratings, bringing in more than 14.6 million viewers.

Kyle: Kim Richards May Not Return To ‘Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’

It appears Camille Grammer isn’t the only Beverly Hills “Housewife” not ready to commit to a Season 2 of the Bravo reality show.

During a taping on Monday of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Kyle Richards revealed that her sister – Kim Richards, who ended Season 1 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in rehab (which she later left) — might not come back.

“Kim’s not here. Is she OK?” Ellen asked the ladies.

“I think she doesn’t really like to be around this crowd that much,” Kyle said, no doubt referring to the big blow up on the season finale of the show that saw all of the ladies confronting Kim, and later, a heated limo exchange between the two sisters. “I think she’s a little gun shy right now.”

“So she won’t be back next season? That’s safe to assume?” Ellen asked.

“I don’t know,” Kyle said. “I don’t know yet.”

On the “Ellen” episode featuring the women, which airs on Tuesday, Camille also addressed estranged husband Kelsey Grammer’s plans to marry his fiancée, Kayte Walsh, this month – even though Camille and Kelsey are still married.

“It’s just crazy,” Camille said.

Kyle said that now that the Beverly Hills “Housewives” have seen the issues Camille was dealing with while they were filming Season 1 of their show, she feels for Camille.

“We didn’t know what was going on with her marriage. She didn’t even know at first. We had problems and now that I look at the show as an audience, of course I feel terrible,” Kyle said. “My heart goes out to her. I think the way he’s handled things is terrible and I’m a wife and a mom, I’d be devastated. I wouldn’t want to see anyone go through something like that.”

Part 2 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Show” airs on Bravo on Tuesday at 10 PM.

Nicki Minaj Says She "Cringes" When Younger Fans Repeat Her Lyrics

Even Nicki Minaj would be a protective mother.

The animated hip-hop artist told British tabloid The Sun that she wouldn't want her own kid to listen to her tracks if she or he wasn't old enough.

"Being honest, if I had a daughter I wouldn't want her listening to a Nicki Minaj CD until she was a certain age," the "Your Love" singer told The Sun.

"Even when I meet my fans and they tell me they are 12, I cringe a little," Minaj said. "I always say, 'Listen. I don't want you saying the bad words, put school first.'"

Many of Minaj's tracks are sexually charged and filled with curses. Her Billboard hit, "Your Love" is one of her more tame numbers; "Massive Attack," however, has both a clean version and a dirty version.

But the crazy-haired rapper wants to make it clear she loves all her fans, and the advice comes from the goodness of her heart.
"At the same time, I am like their bigger sister," she told the paper. "I'm not like their mom."

As dirty as her lyrics can be, Nicki Minaj added she is deeper than a profanity-laced line.

"When they really connect with me they know how big I am on school and how I always promote independence for women," she said.

"Biggest Loser" and Ex-Gold Medalist Wants to Stuff You

Rulon Gardner, the Olympic gold medal wrestler is trying to shed pounds on "The Biggest Loser" even as his restaurant back in Wyoming tempts customers with a 24-ounce burger challenge.

The hefty grappler, who stunned the world in 2000 by beating a seemingly invincible Russian, saw his weight nearly double to 474 pounds when he left the sport. He's resurfaced on the hit NBC show, but in the interim, he opened Rulon Gardner's Burger Barn in Afton, Wyo. Customers there are confronted with the owner's challenge: eat the behemoth burger, a basket of fries and down a 44-ounce drink in 20 minutes.

"It's fun," Gardner's brother and business partner, Russell Gardner, told the Casper Star-Tribune. "We make it light-hearted."

Rulon Gardner, 39, who lives in Utah and lets his brother run the restaurant and nearby gas station, has consumed the six-pattie sandwich in just over eight minutes. But he hopes his days of eating like a rhino are over. A legend in his hometown, population 1,818, after his stunning defeat of Greco-Roman superstar Alexander Karelin, Gardner is slimming down fast on the TV show. He lost 32 pounds on the first episode to lead the field. He dropped another 27 pounds over the next two weeks and could soon be back under 400 pounds.

"It's a good program, and it's something that he needed," his mother, Virginia Gardner said. "I'm sure that he will maintain his weight. That's part of his competitiveness."

"The Kennedys" Will Finally See the Light of Day

Finally, some good news for Katie Holmes and "The Kennedys."

After several networks, including Showtime, DirectTV, and The History Channel, declined to air the 8-part mini-series in a dragged-out game of "not it," it looked as though the series - which stars Holmes as Jackie and Greg Kinnear as JFK - was going to be shelved for good.

Enter the Reelz Channel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reelz has picked up the series and will air Part 1 on April 3rd.

The controversial mini-series is said to play a little fast and loose with the facts surrounding the lives of America's most famous family, which seemed to make the majority of networks squeamish. Before Reelz snapped it up, rumors had BBC America being another potential suitor for the series. Beyond that...well...it could have been one hastily-added animated sequence away from Sprout.

This has to be a huge relief to Holmes, whose recent Sundance film "The Son of No One" was widely considered a festival bomb.

Miranda Lambert Leads the Pack in ACM Nominations

Miranda Lambert proclaimed 2010 the best year of her life. After hauling in seven Academy of Country Music Awards nominations, 2011 isn't looking so bad either.

Lambert, joined by Ronnie Dunn on Tuesday morning to announce the nominees at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, received her first ACM entertainer of the year nomination and will defend her 2010 top female vocalist win, along with nods for song and single of the year. Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band were next with five nominations each.

Dunn summed up Lambert's run with two words: "She's smokin'."

The blonde firebrand started her sizzling hot streak last year at the ACMs, with three wins, including album of the year for the lionized "Revolution." After her engagement to Blake Shelton and the launch of her first headlining tours, she received a record nine nominations at the rival Country Music Association Awards and went on to win three.

Expect 2011 to be eventful as well. In 13 days she's up for two Grammy Awards and her song "The House That Built Me" is also nominated. She's due to marry Shelton later this spring. And she's writing songs for her highly anticipated next album.

"ACMs are always a blast and they've always been great to me," Lambert told The Associated Press after announcing the nominations on "The Early Show." I'm still on Cloud 9 from last year, so I can't really think about this. I can't even believe that it's here already and that I've got seven nominations. I didn't even know I was eligible for seven."

She added in an interview with People that of all the big events coming up, she's most excited about her wedding.

"I still have a few months to go but there's a lot [of planning] going on," she said. "I'm excited about all of it, and I'm excited to get married."

Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban join Lambert in the ACM entertainer of the year category. In a surprise, two-time reigning entertainer of the year Carrie Underwood was not nominated after becoming the first woman to win multiple trophies in that category.

This is Aldean's first entertainer of the year nomination at either of the major award shows. He's used to being overlooked, so much so that while most of his peers woke up early Tuesday morning, he didn't bother to set the alarm. He woke to calls from his manager, Clarence Spalding.

"My home phone rang, then my cell phone rang, and then my home phone rang again," Aldean said in a phone interview. "I'm like, 'Man, what's going on?,' and it was my manager. He said, 'Hey, I just want to be the first one to congratulate you,' and then he told me. I said, 'Man, you got to be kidding.' I actually didn't believe it till I went online and read it myself. I thought he was trying to pull a very cruel joke on me. I said man, 'It's too early in the morning.'"

Entertainer of the year is one of two awards decided by fans along with top new artist. Fans can vote for this year's entertainer winner into the third hour of the show, which will air live April 3 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on CBS.

Chesney made a strong return to the awards circuit after a year out of the spotlight. He earned four nominations as producer and artist on album of the year nominee "Hemingway's Whiskey" and "The Boys of Fall," a song of the year nominee. "Boys" also received a video of the year nomination.

The album of the year nomination is special to Chesney, who pulled his highly lucrative tour off the road last year to concentrate on "Hemingway's Whiskey" and an accompanying football documentary around "The Boys of Fall" single.

"I was just so proud of this nomination because we really did try to take care of the music first with this album and to see it be recognized, it means everything, and kind of validates me taking time off the road," Chesney said in a phone interview.

Zac Brown Band got higher value from its nominations than any other nominee. The band scored nods for top vocal group and album of the year for "You Get What You Give." It also was nominated for single, song and vocal event of the year for "As She's Walking Away," earning featured singer Alan Jackson three nominations of his own.

And Brown scored four individual nominations as producer on the album, single and vocal event nominations and composer for song of the year.

Swift and The Band Perry received four nominations each. Swift is up for top female vocalist with Lambert, Underwood, Reba McEntire and Lee Ann Womack.

Paisley, fresh off his artist of the year win at the CMA awards, is up for his fifth straight top male vocalist ACM. Aldean, Shelton, George Strait and Keith Urban also are nominated in the category.

Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Randy Rogers Band and The Band Perry join Zac Brown Band in the top vocal group category and Sugarland, the JaneDear girls, Joey + Rory, Montgomery Gentry and Steel Magnolia are up for top vocal duo.

Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," Jamey Johnson's "The Guitar Song," Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" and Dierks Bentley's "Up on the Ridge" round out the album of the year category.

Lambert rode a groundswell of enthusiasm for "Revolution" and its fiery first single, "White Liar," to her success in Vegas last year. This year it's "The House That Built Me," the poignant ballad about tough times that closely mirrored her own personal story growing up in Texas.

The two songs show Lambert's versatility and Dunn, for one, thinks Lambert can expect a long career filled with nominations.
"She has that sass," Dunn said. "It's authentic. It's not manipulated. That's important. If you can come along and back that up with musical talent, you got it made."

New on Home Video: The "Monsters" Say "Let Me In"

Two of our favorite unseen films of 2010 come out on home video this week, one a remake of the beloved Swedish vampire film, the other a super-low-budget movie about alien invaders that looks as good as any other this side of "District 9." If you're in the mood for something of a less recent vintage, there are two great English films now on DVD.

“Conviction”
Over the years, the Hilary Swank Formula has become all too predictable. Mix 2 parts tearjerker with 1 part against-all-odds-heroine, add a dash of spunk and a sprinkle of tragedy and you've got your next vehicle for the two-time Oscar winner. This one is no exception to that blueprint.

“Let Me In”
There are sure to be fans of “Let the Right One In” who simply not will allow themselves to enjoy "Let Me In," insisting that it can’t be as good as the original, and that’s a shame, because this a very good film on its own terms. As a wise man once said, Don’t compare, enjoy.

“Monsters”
Made on a shoestring budget in just three weeks with only two professional actors and a crew of about 5, “Monsters” manages to be smarter, creepier, and more thoughtful than most movies made with 100 times the budget.

“Never Let Me Go”
Carey Mulligan, Andrew Garfield and Keira Knightley star in the adaptation of the bestselling novel by Kazou Ishiguro about an English boarding school where the children are being prepared for a grim future.

“Night Catches Us”
Anthony Mackie stars as an ex Black Panther who returns to his old Philadelphia neighborhood only to find that his former brothers in arms suspect him of having played a part in a compatriot's death.

“The Tillman Story”
Appalling, disturbing, beautifully assembled and emotional, Amir Bar-Lev ("My Kid Could Paint That") weaves a documentary that sinks into your bones, leaving its weight behind long after you've left the theater, especially when you realize Pat Tillman's story is one of millions to illustrate the horror brought on by war.

“Welcome to the Rileys”
James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo star as a couple struggling to get past the death of their 15-year-old daughter. While on business in New Orleans, he meets a runaway teen working as a stripper, Kristen Stewart, and tries to help her get her life back on track.

“A Woman, A Gun and A Noodle Shop”
Twenty years after first seeing the Coen Brothers' debut feature, "Blood Simple," Chinese director Yimou Zhang couldn't get the film out of his head. So he decided to remake it, set a couple of centuries back in a small desert town in China. Were it not for some overly slapstick-y humor, it would totally work.

“Withnail and I”
A cult classic about a pair of besotted Londoners on the dole who find themselves accidentally on vacation in the countryside.

“The Long Good Friday”
Bob Hoskins and Helen Mirren star in one of the best-loved British gangster films of all time, about a mob leader whose efforts to go legit get derailed.

Superman is Cast, Let the Lois Lane Hunt Begin

Now that Zach Snyder has found the lynchpin of his Superman movie reboot - the titular man in blue, to be played by British actor Henry Cavill - it's now time to populate the rest of Metropolis. Which leads to the big question on everyone's lips:

Who will be Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen?

Until that's settled, we'll just have to amuse ourselves by running down the names that are swirling around the role of the Daily Planet's spunky ace reporter and the one woman who makes Clark Kent's glasses fog up: Lois Lane.

The biggest rumor involves an actress who knows a thing or two about flying around with aloof prettyboys - "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart. She has allegedly met with Snyder, but that could mean everything from "I want to be Lois" to "Excuse me, are you leaving or are you just getting something from your car?" So right now, file this under "unsubstantiated."

Another name getting play is "Prince of Persia" star Gemma Arterton, but would trying to get people to accept a British Lois be tougher than getting them onboard with a British Superman?

The rest of the field seems to be made up of idle speculation, left-field brainstorming, and utter nonsense - although more than a few of these ladies would be intriguing choices: Rachel McAdams, Rashida Jones. Maggie Q, Rose Byrne. Natalie Dormer (which would suggest Snyder has limited his casting sessions to "rewatching season one of "The Tudors"), Anna Paquin, and Snyder's "Watchmen" leading lady Malin Akerman.

Anne Hathaway's name has also been mentioned, as has Natalie Portman's. But seeing as Hathaway has just signed on to fight and/or romance Batman and Portman will next be seen snuggling up to a Norse god of Thunder, you can probably go ahead and scratch them off.

It's Carla Gugino in “Elektra Luxx,” the Sequel to a Movie No One Saw

Every now and again you run across a film with a cast full of people you like, and you get all excited. Then you learn who directed it, when it was actually and made what exactly the plot is and you realize that maybe it's not so good. "Elektra Luxx" is just such a film.

Carla Gugino stars in the title role, as an ex-porn star pregnant by her dead rocker boyfriend. Desperate for cash, she starts teaching sex ed at a community college, until one day she's approached by a strange woman who wants Luxx to seduce her husband in exchange for the briefcase containing the lyrics to the rocker's final album.

In addition to Gugino, the film stars Adrianne Palicki, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Malin Akerman, Timothy Olyphant and Joseph Gordon-Levitt- - so now you're thinking, "How bad can it be?"

Well, consider this: "Elektra Luxx," which was finished a year ago, is a sequel to "Women in Trouble," which took in $18,097 at the box office. And there's a third film on the way, "Girl Walks Into a Bar."

Finally, "Elektra Luxx" was written and directed by Gugino's manfriend, Sebastian Gutierrez who you've never heard of and whose biggest success was "Rise: Blood Hunter."

At the end of the day this whole project--right down to this post--is just a wildly convoluted excuse to post footage of Gugino in fishnets.

"The Killer" Getting Americanized in 3D, Try Not to Be Sad

As frustrating as news of a "Killer" remake may be, just remember that in 2010 we learned that America can in fact remake a beloved foreign film without making a mess of it. Whether anyone will see it is another matter.

As frustrating as news of a "Killer" remake may be, just remember that in 2010 we learned that America can in fact remake a beloved foreign film without making a mess of it. Whether anyone will see it is another matter.

Hong Kong director John Woo's masterpiece, "The Killer," starring Chow Yun Fat, is arguably the greatest film of its kind. Now it's getting remade, starring Woo-sung Jung and directed by John H. Lee--and with Woo as producer.

“While all my films are special to me, 'The Killer' is truly one of my favorites," said Woo in a press release (by way of Deadline). "We are thrilled to reinvent it as an English-language film and know it’s in capable hands by the incredible visual style and tender emotion John H. Lee brings to all his films.”

Yes, everyone's gnashing their teeth, terrified that this new film will be nothing more than a stain on the legacy of the original.

But we all felt the same way we learned that Matt "Cloverfield" Reeves was remaking "Let the Right One In." As it turned out, Reeves' "Let Me In" was a great film in its own right, its paltry box office notwithstanding.

That said, we won't be one bit surprised if this thing is a disaster.

Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed to Hospital Again After Vomiting Blood: Publicist

Zsa Zsa Gabor is back in the hospital.

The "Moulin Rouge" actress and Hollywood socialite -- who is turning 94 this Sunday -- was disoriented and vomiting blood in her L.A. home Tuesday morning, her spokesman confirmed.

"Following breakfast this morning… she started coughing up blood and mucus," spokesman John Blanchette told AFP. "[The hospital] sent an ambulance to the house immediately. They've pumped the mucus out of her lungs… and they had to treat some pus pockets in her leg, where there is an infection."

Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz Von Anhalt, later told The Associated Press doctors told him they hoped to stabilize her leg "in a few hours."

His wife was "sort of conscious" as she was rushed to the hospital, he said.

"She doesn't know what is going on. She has no memories. It could come back but the doctor doesn't know yet," van Anhalt added.
Gabor's leg was amputated on Jan. 14 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center because of an infection. Last July, the actress, 93, broke her hip and had surgery; she had also been in the hospital due to blood clots.

Additionally, she was partly paralyzed in a car wreck in 2002 and in 2005 she suffered a stroke.

Gabor shot to fame as a sex symbol in the 1950s and has famously been married nine times.

Studying James Franco

The actor's next stunt is a college course, all about his favorite subject: James Franco. How much more can we take of this meta man? Or is that his point?

Last week brought news, equal parts amusing and heartening, that Liverpool Hope University awarded its first Masters degree in Beatles studies.

While we can only imagine the final exam questions (What's Paul McCartney's given first name? Answer: James), one can argue there's some value in studying a group whose vast musical impact was only transcended by its cultural influence.

The Beatleology degree came to mind this week with word that the ubiquitous James Franco is helping mount a college course that's all about his favorite subject: James Franco.

The class at Columbia College Hollywood, Movieline reports, will consist of 12 film editing students charged with putting together a half-hour documentary about the work of the filmmaker and actor, who may be either a pop-culture renaissance man, a merry-prankster performance artist or both.

The students' biggest challenge might be summing up the 32-year-old performer's career in 30 minutes.

While overexposure is the second-greatest fear of any actor (just behind underexposure and just ahead of death), Franco's game seems to pushing our tolerance for him to the limits, and perhaps past. He may be the meta man for our times – not so much a Beatle, but a Warhol who is trying to extend his 15 minutes of fame in multiple art forms well past a cumulative 127 hours.

Some of his latest exploits: Franco turned up in Sundance, where he mounted a multi-media installation called, "Three's Company: The Drama" and donned a blond Chrissy Snow wig to celebrate. He returns this month to "General Hospital" to reprise his role as as Franco, a mysterious artist and assassin. He's taking singing lessons for his Feb. 27 stint co-hosting the Academy Awards, where he could pick up a Best Actor Oscar. He churns out videos for Funny or Die, and frequently turns up on red carpets and talk shows, including an appearance last week on "The Daily Show," in which he satirized his "127 Hours" role.

All while pursuing advanced degrees at Yale and the Rhode Island School of Design.

He's clearly a man of great energy and talents – the most impressive of which might be a knack for comedy, born of a brilliant sense of the absurd.

What better way to lampoon our media-obsessed and -saturated society, after all, than by showing up everywhere? Franco’s shtick may be a test of us as much as of himself. Sounds like an approach that might be worth studying some day...

No More Amicable Split for Halle Berry; Actress Fights for Custody of Daughter

Halle Berry's split with Gabriel Aubry is getting ugly. The Oscar winning actress is taking Aubry to court to fight for custody of their two-year-old daughter Nahla, and she has some harsh things to say about her ex.

According to UsMagazine.com, Berry has gone so far as to clear her schedule by pulling out of the upcoming film 'New Year's Eve.' "Halle Berry was forced to pull out of a film production in New York this week due to pending custody litigation involving her daughter," her rep said. "She attempted to resolve these custody issues amicably with her daughter's father, Gabriel Aubry, directly, but given his lack of cooperation, Halle has no choice but to seek swift judicial intervention."

Berry's rep added that the actress "has serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father for any extended period of time and is prepared to take all necessary steps to protect her."

Berry and Aubry were said to have had an amicable split in April 2010, and the two continued co-parenting and described themselves as "still friends." But when Aubry filed papers in December formally requesting to be recognized as Nahla's father to establish shared custody, things got trickier.

Berry's rep added that "Halle has always made the needs and safety of her daughter her first priority and, both while Halle and Gabriel were a couple and since their break-up, Halle has only acted in her daughter's best interest."

Since her split with Aubry, Berry's entered into a relationship with actor Olivier Martinez and has even put pressure on her new beau to have a baby.

Camille Grammer Discusses Her Sexless, Cuddle-Free Marriage to Kelsey

In a candid interview on 'The Joy Behar Show,' Camille Grammer opened up about the end of her marriage to Kelsey. The soon-to-be divorcee claimed the two had not been intimate for over two years prior to their separation.

"I think we had a really good run of it. We were together for 14 years... What went wrong? I don't know. We didn't agree politically on everything," she laughed.

Joy then asked Camille about her "sexless" marriage to Kelsey, something she mentioned on 'The View' earlier in the day Monday.

"We tried, we just didn't mesh sexually," she admitted. "We weren't intimate, no."

The talk show host asked Camille who was to blame for the lack of chemistry in the boudoir, to which the 42-year-old former Playmate responded, "It could be both.... But (it was) more on his end."

Camille said she misses intimacy, and considers it "a really important part of a marriage."

"I love cuddling, (but) we didn't even do that. He was too busy watching 'Fox News.' He didn't even want to cuddle," she said.

The reality TV starlet has said she does believe she can find love again, but right now she's focused on raising her two children and finalizing her divorce with the 'Frasier' star.

Derek Hough Taking a Break From 'Dancing with the Stars'

After heating up the dancefloor for seven seasons on 'Dancing with the Stars,' Derek Hough is taking a much-deserved break from the show.

The dancer-choreographer will be spending season 12 away from the ballroom, taking time to film dance flick 'Cobu 3D' in New York and Toronto this spring.

In the film, Hough plays a New Orleans dancer who falls for the drummer of a rival dance group while trying to make it in New York.

Hough says that despite his hiatus from the ABC hit, he will return for the show's thirteenth season with renewed vigor. "I will be making it back to 'Dancing with the Stars' in the fall. I'm just taking a break and taking this chance to grow and expand a little bit as an artist," he tells PEOPLE. "I'll come back with a whole new set of skills."

Hough says of his upcoming film role, "People will see a much edgier side of me and these other styles of dancing I'm capable of doing," noting that he has already gained "about 10 lbs of muscle" in preparation for the movie's "incredible" dance numbers.

As for his bosses at ABC, they support Hough's decision to take a break from the show. 'DWTS' executive producer, Conrad Green, says, "We wish Derek the best as he takes time off from 'Dancing with the Stars' to pursue his film career and look forward to having him return to the show in the fall."

Not Everyone's Laughing at Miley Cyrus' Salvia Trip; Leaked Video Affects Upcoming Film

Not everyone is laughing out loud at the controversial video of Miley Cyrus' salvia trip. According to UsMagazine.com, the studio behind Miley's upcoming film 'LOL' is so concerned about the leaked video that they're removing the star from an already filmed scene that involved the former 'Hannah Montana' star smoking marijuana.

An insider claims that after Miley was caught on tape taking bong hits in November 2010, the studio is going to great lengths to tweak a similarly druggy scene in comedy. "The scene can't be reshot," the source says. So the studio is implementing "tricky editing and effects magic, they are erasing all traces of her inhaling or being in the same shot with the actor." The editors are erasing Miley's "entire arm" from the pot-smoking shot.

"The studio doesn't want to take any chances having the controversy affect the film," the insider says, adding that unlike the studio execs, "Miley doesn't seem to care."

Though Miley's friends claimed the star was "just having fun" and pointed out that salvia is indeed a legal drug, the former tween idol's reputation definitely took a hit.

'LOL' is scheduled to be released sometime later this year, and in addition to Miley, features Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.

The Market Favors 'King's Speech,' Natalie Portman for Oscar Wins

You can listen to the Oscar watchers and the bloggers and the critics, but the most accurate way of predicting who and what will win a little gold statue is to leave it up to something rational: the market.

Enter the Hollywood Stock Exchange, an online stock market simulation that lets users "trade" on stars and movies. HSX traders predicted Oscar nominations with an 89 percent accuracy rate, going 10 for 10 with the Best Picture category, five for five for Best Actress and four for five in most other categories.

Now HSX is letting traders buy and sell the Oscar nominees. AwardOptions will halt trading at 1PM on Sunday, Feb. 27, before the big show.

So who does the market favor?

'The King's Speech' is the current front-runner for the Best Picture Oscar, trading at H$9.58, with the next highest picture, 'The Social Network,' trading at H$6.42. None of the other eight contenders come close, and after last night's SAG awards, their values continue to fall. The virtual value of 'King's Speech' dovetails with its value in the actual marketplace where consumers buy and sell movie tickets. Since its nomination, Fandango reports that 'King's Speech' has increased in popularity 76 percent among its users.

The best director race is also between 'Social Network' and 'King's Speech,' with the Brits again beating Silicon Valley by about 40 percent.

Natalie Portman is the clear front-runner for Best Actress with a price of H$15.10 and with Annette Bening trailing for 'The Kids Are All Right' with a price of H$8.93.

No actor comes anywhere near Colin Firth's H$13.88 price, making him the clear favorite in the category. Also following the SAG Awards, prices fell off for all best supporting actor noms except for Christian Bale, who the market predicts will take home the statue at the end of next month. And the same for Melissa Leo, who played Bale's mom in 'The Fighter.' Leo has absolutely no competition in the category, which includes Amy Adams, Hailee Steinfeld, Helena Bonham Carter and Jacki Weaver, according to the marketplace.

There is still nearly a month to go until the awards, but the margins for potential winners are already so high we shouldn't expect any major surprises on Oscar night.

Jesse James' Ex, Janine Lindemulder: 'He Doesn't Want Me to See My Daughter'

Jesse James' porn star ex-wife Janine Lindemulder was arrested for harassing him in Texas over the weekend. Now she's telling RadarOnline.com her side of the story.

"Jesse James does not want me to see [7-year-old daughter] Sunny and intentionally ambushed me so that I would go to jail," Lindemulder says.

James, 41, and Lindemulder, 42, have been battling in court over custody of Sunny, who lives with James in Austin, Texas. Sunny had a stepmother in Sandra Bullock during the actress's five-year marriage to James, a reality TV star and motorcycle customizer. James recently became engaged to Kat Von D, who will be his third wife.

"Jesse does not give me ways or any means to contact my daughter," Lindemulder says. "Sunny has a cell phone but it's never on. He forces me to call his phone. There have been times where I have not spoken to my daughter in 40 days."

According to legal documents reviewed by TMZ, James' ex stood accused of leaving hundreds of "chronic harassing telephone calls to all hours of the day and night," estimated at more than 300 messages since he moved to the Austin area.

"In November, Sunny was hospitalized with a deadly infection, and I never knew nor was I informed," Lindemulder tells Radar. "It was a life threatening infection, and I didn't know. That's not good parenting."

Radar notes that Lindemulder's allegations haven't been verified. She tells the site she wants no contact with James other than where her daughter is concerned.

"Sunny is the most important thing in my life and want to be part of her life," she says. "Jesse has made this virtually impossible and is manipulating the entire situation."

We have to ask: Is Jesse James the only next-to-nobody in America who has four exes (well, three ex-wives and one ex-mistress) we know by name?

'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood Accused of Harassing Ex's New Girlfriend

MTV's cameras may be finished filming the tumultuous relationship between 'Teen Mom' stars Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, but the drama is far from over for the young parents.

Portwood is being accused of harassment by Shirley's new girlfriend, Ashley, who is allegedly filing a formal complaint against Portwood for her threatening behavior.

A source tells RadarOnline.com, "Amber kept calling and harassing Ashley, asking her to 'meet up' so she could 'beat her a**.'"

Portwood, who has lost and regained custody of her 2-year-old daughter, Leah, over the past year, may be looking at a host of new charges in addition to the felony and misdemeanors she was slapped with in November relating to an assault on Shirley captured by MTV cameras.

According to the Radar source, in addition to Amber's repeated harassment of Ashley, one of Amber's friends impersonated a police officer on the phone in order to intimidate her.

Finally, Ashley called the Anderson Police Department. "Ashley told the cops everything, including that Gary and Amber have been violating the 'No Contact Order' by talking, but the officer said either Amber or Gary would have to call about that for them to look into it," says the source.

Portwood, who has been accused of underage drinking in the past, reportedly "sounded wasted" during the harassing phone calls.

Despite Portwood's threats against her, "[Ashley]'s not going to back down from Amber ... she plans on going to Anderson [police] this week to make the formal complaint."

Corey Feldman Slams SAG Snub of Corey Haim

Corey Feldman says the omission of his friend Corey Haim from the Screen Actors Guild Awards tribute montage was an unfortunate, if not predictable, turn of events.

"We have become used to not being honored by our peers in the industry," Feldman tells PopEater. "I have faith that the Academy will make a wiser choice."

Haim and Feldman starred in several films throughout the 1980s, including 'The Lost Boys' and 'License to Drive.'

Haim died March 10 at his mother's home in Burbank, Calif. An autopsy report labeled it a "natural death" and illegal drugs were not found in his system. He was 38.

His death was a blow to Feldman, as the two were beginning to reconcile after years of on-off friendship. "This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family and best friend," he said at the time.

Months later, Feldman took a leading role in trying to dispel reports that Haim died of a drug overdose. "He was a good boy," Feldman said during a 'Today' show appearance in October. "He was taking care of his very sick mom who had cancer. He was cooking for her, cleaning for her, taking care of her on a daily basis. They found no drugs in his system."

The Screen Actors Guild moved to explain the apparent slight on Monday, telling PopEater Haim was not included in the 'In Memoriam' package that aired because of time concerns.

"This year we prepared a longer version in hopes of being able to salute more actors and a shorter version if it was needed due to time," SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell explains. "Mr. Haim was in the longer version. As the show was running long, we were forced to chose the shorter package."

She added, "The Committee only wishes they had the time to salute everyone."

Denise Richards Turning Down Tell-All Offers, Vows to Stand by Charlie Through Rehab

Now that Charlie Sheen is finally getting the help he needs by heading into rehab, it would be easy for his ex-wife Denise Richards to capitalize on what has become the biggest celebrity story of the week by giving a tell-all interview.

But Denise won't do it. Insiders close to the actress say she has been inundated with interview requests and has turned them all down.

"Her focus right now is on Charlie getting better and being there for her kids. He is their father and Denise wants him healthy so that he can be a part of their life," a source close to the Richards' camp tells PopEater.

We hear that Denise plans to stay strong and support Charlie while he goes through rehab. A rep for the 45-year-old actor wouldn't confirm how long his client plans to be in treatment, but insiders say they expect him to be in for at least three months.

Charlie's entry into treatment came after he was rushed to a hospital last week after reportedly partying with hard drugs and alcohol for several days at his home with several porn stars.

Even as news networks are practically begging Denise to spill all, she thinks it is best for her family right now to keep as much as she can private. She finally has some control over how this story will play out, and she plans to keep it as long as she can. The only feedback she has been giving about Charlie has come from her personal Twitter feed. Denise tweeted: "If you caught 'GMA' today...FYI No 'adult film star' will be babysitting our kids!"

An added advantage of turning down offers to talk is that it will help shield Denise from Charlie's bad behavior. She has been trying (successfully) to create her own brand and doesn't want it to be sullied by a constant association with Charlie. On a personal level, she feels she can be there for him, but professionally she doesn't want to co-brand herself with his actions.

Javier Bardem Scores Big James Bond Offer

Javier Bardem has been offered a major role in the newest James Bond film, Moviefone reports, proving money woes and development hell cannot keep 007 down.

Early in January, word hit that 'Bond 23' still had Sam Mendes gearing up to direct, and a not-so-far-off release date of Nov. 9, 2012. Since then, buzz has been on the rise, and just days after word hit that Judi Dench would return to the franchise, Deadline revealed Bardem was offered a starring role in the film.

Bardem won't play Bond himself, of course -- that honor still belongs to Daniel Craig, who's ready to tackle the shnazzy icon for the third time. The offered role is being kept under wraps, but it's not too hard to guess.

As Deadline notes, the leading male name traditionally goes to the villain of the film, and Bardem is certainly a go-to choice for the bad guy, following his chilling -- and Oscar-winning -- turn in 'No Country for Old Men.'

Rumors bubbled up recently that Bardem might play the God of War in the 'Clash of the Titans' sequel, and now his name is all over the rumors for Ron Howard's adaptation of Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower.' But there's no telling which he'll go with. Bardem recently turned down a villainous role in 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' for example.

So, which project should he choose? Is it time for Bond to face Bardem? Heck, could Bond even dream of besting Bardem?
